LAKELAND - Mrs. Maxine L. Best, 72, passed away on Wednesday, August, 22, 2012 due to Amyloidosis. She was born on July 16, 1940 in Plant City and came to Lakeland in 1964. Maxine was a member of Cork Methodist Church in Plant City. She was a homemaker. She lived a simple life and was a fighter to the very end. Mrs. Best is survived by her husband, John H. Best; daughters, Rhonda L. Green, Pamela J. Grant, & Cheryl Ann Reynolds, all of Lakeland; brothers, Fred DeVane, Jack DeVane; sister, Carolyn Snow, all of Plant City; 9 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
