Vivian Marie Mayo Shepherd

March 20, 1944 - Feb. 2, 2008

Vivian Marie Mayo Shepherd, age 63, passed away February 2, 2008, while in the M.D. Anderson ICU. After a courageous battle with Amyloidosis, she passed gracefully and peacefully with her family by her side.

She was born March 20, 1944, in Deridder, Louisiana, and had been an Alvin resident since 1959. She was a graduate of Alvin High School and attended Alvin Community College.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronnie; mother, Mildred Mayo of Baytown, Texas; sister, Wanda Faulkner of Baytown, Texas; brother, Curtis Mayo and wife Donna of Fredericksburg, Texas; daughters: Shala Kae Rios and husband Alex, and Alissa Roberson and husband C.G., all of Alvin; grandchildren: Chyna and Michael Rios, and Jade and Paul Roberson, all of Alvin; nieces: Donna Robin Beasley and husband Stewart, and Lacey Brumley and husband Jason, all of Baytown; nephews: Glenn Mayo and wife Shannon of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mike Mayo and wife Lily of Mason, Texas; mother-in-law, Louise Shepherd of Alvin, Texas; and extended family: Chuck and Paula Thies of Schertz, Texas, and Gipsy and Nancy Navasard of Lake Jackson, Texas.

The visitation was held Tuesday, February 5, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive (FM 518), Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, www.jeterfuneralhome.com.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rayford Weltch and Robert Whitman officiating. Burial followed at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
