Corby Dean Stinnett passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 after a brave 10-month battle with rare diseases light-chain multiple myeloma and amyloidosis.

Corby was born March 29, 1955 at Delano, Ca. The family moved into Ventura County when he was a small child and remained here for the rest of his life.

He started his construction experience as pipe fitter, and later became what many considered an expert in asphalt mix and batch plant inspections. For over 10 years Corby worked as Transportation Inspector for Public Works at the County of Ventura. Prior to that, he had many years at BTC Laboratories of Ventura.

Corby enjoyed being out in nature and was a responsible hunter and fisherman. He grew up playing cowboys with his brother Steve and liked to watch western shows all of his life. Corby loved baseball and was an avid Dodger fan.

Corby is survived by his wife Marcy, son Jason Haque, mother Gwendle, brother Steve (Angie), mother-in-law Wilma Johnson, sister-in-laws M. Susan Hogue, Karen Johnson, brother-in-laws Dan (Beccy) Johnson, Martin (Sherry) Johnson, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter A. Stinnett, brother-in-law Rodney D. Johnson and brother-in-law Lawrence Hogue. -
