STARK, Ronald Ronald Brunson Stark, age 71, of Mableton, GA passed away on April 10, 2015. A memorial service for Ron will be held Friday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Vinings Lake Church, 75 Cooper Lake Road, Mableton, Georgia with Rev. Rob Irving and Rev. Cody Deese officiating. Ron was born in Dalton, GA on December 22, 1944. He graduated from Berry College in Rome, GA with a double Bachelor's degree in mathematics and business. He also received an M.B.A. from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. In 1975 he married Karen Vellner. He is survived by Karen as well as his five children: Christopher Stark (Amanda), Ronda Chandler (Jere) and Derek Stark of Birmingham, AL and Benjamin Stark (Christina) and Adam Stark of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashton, Justin, Victoria, Alyson, Casey, Skylar, Drew, Remy, Emmy Leigh, Jonathan and Joshua. Ron had a long and successful career with General Electric and NCR Corporation in their audit divisions. The last 28 years of his career were spent in higher education, where he worked at Cornell University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Georgia Board of Regents. Ron is famous for fixing the problems at Georgia Perimeter College and Fort Valley State University. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, James F. Stark and Camilla Brunson Wright as well as his stepfather, Wilbur Wright and brothers James F. Stark, Jr. and Richard Stark. He is survived by his stepmother, Bernice Stark, and sisters, Denise Terrell and Melinda Robertson (Ramsey) and brother, Roger Stark (Gloria) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was a kind, wise and honorable man who blessed every life he touched. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends
