CONLEY, David Earl 69, died November 30th at home in Santa Rosa, CA of amyloidosis, a rare and devastating disease. Dave was born in Berkeley, CA on October 15th, 1946 to Frances and Earl Conley. He graduated from De Anza High School in El Sobrante, CA in 1964, where he ran cross country and track. After serving in the Navy from 1969 to 1973, Dave graduated from San Jose State University in 1978 with a master's degree in Geology. As a geologist he worked for oil companies in the United Kingdom. He met the love of his life, Melanie, while vacationing in Greece in 1981.They married in England in 1985 and then moved to California in 1987. Dave worked as an environmental consultant in Sonoma County until his retirement in 2012. Dave was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed attending cross country and track meets, having BBQs with family and friends and working in the garden. Dave is survived by his wife, Melanie; children, Kim (Drew), Emma (Keith), and Alex; and brother, Roy (Rita). We are grateful for all the medical care that Dave received through the Sutter system in Santa Rosa, at CPMC in San Francisco, at Stanford Medical Center and Sutter Care at Home –
