Diane Semones Robinson December 5th, 2011 at age 64 years old, passed away peacefully at home in the loving arms of her family on December 5, 2011, after a courageous battle with amyloidosis. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Allen Robinson, and their children, Christie Cooper and husband Craig , Karen Hardin and husband Jason, Daniel Robinson and wife Maranda, and their grandchildren Clint Cooper, Cody Cooper, Caitlyn Cooper, Carl Hardin, Valerie Hardin, Natalie Robinson, and Mason Robinson. She is also survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Smythers, Irleen Largen and husband Charlie, Christine Patton, and Esther Bryant and husband Harley, and her brothers, Orba Semones and wife Vera Mae, Norman Semones and wife Ruby, and Leo Semones and wife Shirley, and her brother-in-law Jake Horton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Diane was born on November 19, 1947, in Hillsville, VA to the late James Edgar and Alta Pearl Quesinberry Semones. She taught 7th and 8th grade math at Chatham Middle School in Siler City, NC for almost 30 years before retiring in 2008. She was awarded teacher of the year four times. She enjoyed being a member of Alpha Pi, so that she could spend time with former teachers. She was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church for 38 years, where she served the church as the pianist for over 30 years and also taught Sunday school. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and teacher. She touched the lives of many people with her talents and her love. She especially enriched the lives of her husband, children and grandchildren with her love of God, wise advice, listening ear, loving touch, and hand decorated birthday cakes.
