TOBIN, Father Thomas E. died March 16, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Sarabeth Gall, her husband Brett and children, Ryan, Isabella, Julia, and Eden, his daughter, Andea Brown, her husband, Brian, and children, Brenden and Kayla. He is also survived by his sisters, Marie Sprague and Theresa Kisielius with her husband, Anthony and his brother, Wally and wife, Sheila. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Charlene who died in 1996 and his sister, Rita Yankowski who died in 2004. His family moved to St. Petersburg when he was 14, and attended Bishop Barry High School (class of 1965), and entered the seminary for the Florida Diocese. He left the seminary in 1971 (no "gift of celibacy"), fell in love with the "love of his life", Charlene four weeks later and married. They moved to the town of Sandwich on Cape Cod where he had a career in social work in which he was the founding Director of the Family Care Program of Cape Cod Hospital. Sadly, Charlene died unexpectedly of a heart attack in 1996. The "call" to priesthood had never left Tom; he entered Blessed John XXIII Seminary and was ordained in 2005. He served at the Cathedral of St. Jude, Sacred Heart in Pinellas Park, and assisted at Transfiguration in St. Petersburg.
